Installation instructions:
- Turn OFF the power at the main circuit breaker that controls the 50-amp receptacles that you are about to install your Grease Armor Cover to protect.
- Unplug the 50-amp male cord cap connected to the fryer from the 50-amp receptacle.
- If the branch circuit number from the electrical panel is labeled on the flat 50-amp receptacle Plate, relabel the new Grease ArmorCover mounting bracket with this branch circuit number.
- Remove the existing flat 50-amp receptacle plate and properly discard saving the (4) 6/32 mounting screws to be reused on your Grease Armor Cover mounting bracket.
- Always tighten the (4) existing mounting screws that holds the existing 50-amp receptacle to the recessed electrical box as flush as possible to the recessed electrical box. In many cases this receptacle has become loose from plugging and unplugging the 50-amp male cord cap over the years. Tightening the (4) existing mounting screws will allow the mounting bracket plate to sit flush to the wall and create a tighter fit for the Grease Armor Cover.
- Install the new Grease Armor Cover mounting bracket with the attached label at the top of the bracket facing away from the wall. The top lip of the mounting bracket should be slightly off the wall to receive the inner top edge of the Grease Armor Cover when installed. Attach the new mounting bracket with the (4) 6/32 mounting screws from your existing flat 50-amp receptacle plate.
- Plug the 50-amp male cord cap connected to the fryer back into the 50-amp receptacle.
- Set your new Grease Armor Cover on the top lip of the new mounting bracket and push down ¼ of an inch for a tight snug fit.
- Turn the power back ON at the main circuit breaker.
